“Fore” The Love Of Animals – golfers from all over the country suffer through purrfect weather, lush fairways, and dog legs to support HCWS.
Long time participants as well as new participants teed it up for Heaven Can Wait Sanctuary’s “Fore” The Love of Animals charity golf tournament at the pristine DragonRidge Country Club to help raise money for homeless cats and dogs in the Las Vegas Valley.
Each participant was given a Cleveland sand wedge, the #1 wedge in golf, as part of their tee package along with a HCWS cap, and a sleeve of golf balls before they headed out to take on the treacherous and demanding links.
Maui Jim, Cleveland Golf, Tommy Rocker (Black Mountain Grill), Mike Heaggy (“Body Wash” car detailing), Sari & Terri Outzen (Titleist & Antigua) and John & Cory Sueveges (Belding Bags) helped sponsor the treacherous par 3’s presenting 24 closest to the hole prizes. Our winners took home some great prizes including: sunglasses, clothing, gift certificates for dinner, Dozens of Pro V golf balls, a Belding golf bag and more. $20,000 in cash was put up for the hole in one contest on the tricky hole #2, which proved to play tough. Joe Egermayer did not make a hole in one, but was the closest with his shot of 2’ 1” winning him a pair of titanium Maui Jim sunglasses.
