Programs
Since the inception of "Heaven Can Wait" in March 2000, we have placed over 5,687 cats & dogs into loving homes. We have altered 7,459 feral cats, and we've sterilized 19,876 cats & dogs through our spay/neuter programs.
Our W.A.R. project (War Against Reproduction) is a community wide program to control overpopulation and reduce the number of unwanted pets by preventing reproduction.

Pups on Parole. Homeless dogs are rescued by HCWS and then go to live at both the Jean and Southern Nevada Correctional Facilities for women. The inmates are taught how to train the dogs in obedience, housebreaking and leash walking to help ensure a permanent life with their new family. |

Tales To Tails is a children's literacy program utilizing trained dogs who are read to by children who are lacking in their reading abilities. |
We are currently running adoption centers out of 3 PETsMART locations. Each location has cats and kittens to adopt on a daily basis, and adoptions of dogs are held at the Tropicana/Fort Apache store.
